Herding Dog Rescue

RENO

Reno

(ADOPTED!) Reno was one of our favorites, when we rescued him in February 2013, at about 8 mos. old.  He is very friendly, loving, cuddly, and playful.  Reno is great with people, other dogs, and cats.  He has an extremely charming personality, and a sense of humor. When meeting young children, he will give kisses and climb into their laps for petting. Reno rides very well and quietly in a car. He is housebroken. He is calm and great indoors, but he also needs to play and run to get his youthful energy out.  In classic cattle dog fashion, Reno will bond closely to his person(s) and want to follow where ever they go.

His people are heartbroken about their decision to part with him.  They have chickens, turkeys, horses and goats.  He is fine with the goats and horses, but when left unsupervised, he has killed a few chickens on different occasions, and recently severely injured a turkey when all were out on the property together and their people were gone for several hours.  As a working farm they feel the need to rehome Reno. He would be a fantastic & fun companion in a situation without poultry.  Reno is the one without a tail in the video.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2P8328F7Jc
